We took him to the vet the very next day and ran a full blood panel on him and found he was also heartworm positive. He was very malnourished and he was very thin. He was rumored to at one time belong to drug addicts that allowed another of their dogs to die on a chain, uncared for. He was found laying in the street by a good samaritan and they contacted us. When we brought in Lupa he had been abandoned.
